Most expensive rental property goes on the market for £45,000 a week

Housing ExpensiveA London home has become the country’s most expensive rental property after it goes on the market at a staggering £45,000 a week.

The penthouse is located in One Hyde Park, central London, the most expensive block of flats in the world and the property contains five bedrooms, five bathroom, five reception rooms and a panoramic view of the capital.

With a rental price of over £2.3 million per year, it has quickly become the country’s most expensive rental property and the average Brit, on an annual wage of £26,000, would only be able to stay for three days before finding themselves having blown their entire wage for that year.

The 9,307 sq. ft. Knightsbridge home is divided into two wings with all the living and reception spaces situated on the park side of the property.

Land registry reports suggest that the apartment was sold in February 2011 for £56.265 million, not long after the building was first complete.

One Hyde Park was completed in 2011 as part of a business venture between Christian Candy and the former president of Qatar and is made up of 86 luxury residences. It building comes equipped with exclusive shops, a private spa, gym, sauna and swimming pool.
