Houses in disrepair being repaired

HOUSES IN DISREPAIR BEING REPAIREDA local council have finally had enough of the number houses in disrepair in the surrounding area and are instigating a programme of repair. Cherwell District council, as part of a specific renovation programme, have agreed with local contractors to repair a number of previously vacant properties and turn them into affordable homes.

Houses in disrepair to homes

As part of the Build! Programme, Cherwell District council acquired three properties which had been vacant for some time and had then lapsed into a state of disrepair.  With huge pressures for housing right across the UK, especially affordable housing for first time buyers, the council decided that they should repair these houses rather than seeking space to build new homes.

Houses in disrepair

Obviously, not every council is pro-active as Cherwell and across the UK there are a number of properties which have fallen into a state of disrepair.  While the majority of these are vacant properties and as such, could be purchased by a council for repair – under a similar programme as to the one described above – some do have inhabitants.  If landlords are letting their inhabited properties fall into disrepair, then the tenants do have a course of action they can take rather than just having to move.  Housing-disrepair.co.uk is site run by specialist solicitors who are dedicated to your housing disrepair case.  Dealing with a number of housing disrepair cases at any one time means they have a wealth of experience and knowledge and can quickly give you the clarity you need as to your options.  If you are living in sub-standard living conditions due to disrepair then please do contact us today, we can give you advice and support and together we will work together to resolve the issue.
